I try to keep my base recipes as simple as possible. This way, you can always add or pair your meal with sides and other goodies! Pasta is an easy go to. Its quick and delicious. Here is my simple Low Sodium Quesadilla

Ingredients: Low Sodium Quesadilla

  • 1 lb Choice of protein (or you can go with no protein!) I usually use ground beef or chicken (75mg -300mg)
  • Mrs Dash No Salt Added Taco Seasoning (0mg)
  • Shredded swiss cheese (35mg per 1/4 cup)
  • Corn Tortillas (15mg)
  • Terry Ho’s LIGHT Yum Yum Sauce (10mg per tbsp)
  • Veggies of your choice
    • spinach(0mg)
    • corn(0mg)
    • black beans (no salt added)(0mg)
    • onions(0mg)
    • tomatoes(0mg)
    • avocados (0mg)


I want to start by saying you can add chicken, steak, or any other meat to this recipe. If you do, please prepare your meat first and then drain. Add your Mrs Wages Taco Seasoning and mix it in. Also, you can add in any other veggies you would like! In your skillet place a small amount of olive oil. Add in your tortillas. Quickly add your protein, vegies, cheese, and yum yum sauce. Top with another tortilla. Cook for about 2 minutes on medium heat or until your tortilla starts crisping up. Carefully flip to the other side. Repeat for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and cut into fours. I like to top mine with sour cream and green onions! Enjoy! Hit me up if you have great recipes to share!
